Job Description
J&M Group is seeking a Junior Cybersecurity Analyst to support our growing portfolio of Managed Services projects. This role is technical and centers on using Kali Linux to perform vulnerability assessments and interpret security reports for our clients. You will work within our "3i" delivery model (Ideate, Implement, Inspire) to help anticipate future threats rather than just reacting to today's challenges.
Key Responsibilities for Managed Services
- Vulnerability Assessment: Use the Kali Linux suite to run regular scans across client environments, including cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
- Report Analysis: "Read" and interpret raw data from tools like Nmap, Nessus, and Burp Suite to identify high-risk vulnerabilities.
- Managed Service Support: Provide ongoing security monitoring and "Business As Usual" (BAU) support for managed service clients.
- Incident Triage: Act as the first point of contact for security alerts , performing initial investigations to protect client data.
- Client Communication: Translate technical findings from Kali reports into actionable summaries for both internal leadership and external client stakeholders.
Technical Requirements
- Tool Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Kali Linux and its core security tools is mandatory for this role.
- Cloud & Infrastructure: Familiarity with Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike, or Zscaler is highly preferred, as many projects involve managing security for cloud-centric organizations.
Education
- College diploma or university degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or a related field.
